Dr Oliver Foster
ACP Registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist
Oliver has worked in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health for 25 years. He initially worked with vulnerable families and young children in a range of community settings before undertaking a specialist Social Work Training that focussed on Child and Adolescent Mental Health. As a specialist Social Worker within a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Oliver gained extensive experience of providing therapeutic services for severely deprived children, adolescents and their parents/carers. Oliver went on to train as a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Society of Analytical Psychology in London. Since qualifying in 1996 Oliver has worked in a number of different CAMHS settings as a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist. He has substantial expertise in assessing and treating children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties. Oliver has a special interest in attachment difficulties and developmental trauma. He has taught on many different postgraduate academic courses and psychotherapy trainings.
