Dr Luisa Fernandez-Ford
Luisa is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, who has worked within the NHS and private practice for over 14 years. Luisa specialises in assessing and supporting children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties and learning disabilities. Luisa specialises in working with children with neurodevelopment disorders and she is currently part of a specialist diagnostic assessment team. Luisa has a specific clinical interest in working with children with autistic spectrum disorders, having worked with both children and adults with this condition for over 10 years. Luisa has vast experience in providing Expert Opinion to the court, focusing on the provision of parenting assessments, attachment assessments, developmental, psychological and cognitive assessments of children (0-18). Luisa also has experience, and currently offers, therapeutic work, training, consultation and supervision to children and family services. She is experienced in working with a wide range of child and adolescent mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and deliberate self harm. Luisa has a strong clinical interest in attachment issues, and has worked regularly with looked after and adopted children who have experienced trauma and abuse.
